Hi! We are due to start our second cycle tomorrow (happy New Year! 😂) but I caught covid on Xmas eve. I’m out of isolation tomorrow and feeling fine so not too worried about that. Im stressing about having a covid test before EC as I know PCR tests can give positive results up to 90 days after!
The thought of getting all the way to EC and having to cancel because of a +ve covid test is horrific! Especially as we are self funding.
The clinic say should be ok as if I tell hospital when I have my covid test and they’ll take it into consideration but can’t get it out of my mind!
Has anyone had this or can give any encouragement! Just feeling like a headache I don’t need!!
Thanks all and happy New Years xxxx

Sorry you’re so stressed out. Could you go for PCR test early next week just to put your mind at ease? Hopefully it’ll be negative and you can focus on your cycle xxx
I would go for it, but explain that you’ve had covid. So you might still show as false positive. My boyfriend was still showing a positive lft line for around a week after he finished isolation. His cough was hanging around but there’s no guidance for that only that it can hang around but after ten days the virus cannot be passed on. They’re medical so should know this but do insist on telling them a pcr could be false positive - you’ve done your isolation and you’ll be fine.
If you planned you cycle go for it, don't postpone. I was on down regulation when my husband tested positive just few days before stimulation and even though I was stressed like crazy we decided to go ahead. My husband sperm was used after him finishing isolation and PCR was negative. From that cycle we have now 2 months old twins. I wish you good luck 🤞♥️
