V Low AMH & not ovulating

Hello, we have been TTC for a year, I am 37 yrs old and have a daughter who’s 3.5 (who we conceived very easily). Found out that I am not ovulating every month so doc is going to prescribe clomid, we just need to rule out any male factors first which we have a sperm test scheduled in Jan. Also found out last week I have very low AMH (2.7 pmol/l) which I’m worried about. Does the fact I’m also not ovulating mean I am approaching menopause? Will clomid help? Would be good to hear from anyone in a similar situation. Thank you!

Hi HMB. So sorry to hear this, but hopefully the Clomid might give you a chance. You may be able to have IVFeven with such a low AMH but you would have to pay for it. Fingers crossed that the Clomid can get you ovulating and the sperm count is OK. Thinking of you. Diane

hi! I am in the same boat. Ask them to test your fsh. is you have low amh and high fsh, that could indicate perimenopause. However low amh on its own does not. your amh is just you ovarian reserve, which doesn't indicate menopause. I have done one round on clomid and it worked really well for me. Most positive experience I have had. fingers crossed for you. if your lining is thin and clomid doesn't work, ask for letrozole x
