Blood 3 days after embryo transfer - picture included! What does it mean!?!

Hi all,

I'm 3 days post embryo transfer and just noticed this after going for a wee - it's tiny but still!

Implantation bleeding, period on its way or meaningless!? This part drives me crazy!

Has anyone else had this please and what did it mean?

Any help/ support/ advice is much appreciated!

P.S it was a fresh transfer

It is probably left over from your egg collection. I had a bath the day after my egg collection and I had what looked exactly the same. Hopefully it is just this. I would send the photo to your clinic if your worried at least they can give you the reassurance you need good luck xx

It could be from when they pass the catheter to do embryo transfer....sometimes causes a little bit of bleeding. Good luck.xx

I was told to expect this around 3 days post transfer. My doctor told me I have a “very good blood supply” so to expect spotting in 2-3 days and not to worry when it happens. I hope this is the same for you xx

Hi Matilda. I am sorry but have had to remove the picture as we don't allow pictures of wipes and soiled pads. Hopefully, what has happened is just due to some irritation from pessaries if they have been prescribed. Drink plenty of water just in case you could be developing a urine infection. Hopefully it will settle down. Good luck! Diane
