Sudden loss of symptoms

Hi,

I have very recently found out that I am pregnant (5 weeks) and was having bloating, stomach pains and breast tenderness. Almost overnight this all seems to have cleared up. I previously had a missed miscarriage when the baby stopped growing at 5.5 weeks. I am terrified it has happened again. I rang the EPAU but they said if I'm not bleeding they wouldn't scan yet and won't do HCG tests so I'll just have to wait for a private scan. This is a natural pregnancy following IVF so I'm worried there is something wrong with our embryos that caused the miscarriage before and caused us struggle to get pregnant. Has anyone had a similar experience? All the waiting is super hard! Hope everyone is doing ok on their own journeys xx

Sorry the EPAU won’t help. This happened to me with my last pregnancy. It was like a light switch turning off with my symptoms stopping and knew something wasn’t right based on previous history. I had a private scan which confirm the dates didn’t add up and it was only then the EPAU monitored me with scans. It was so stressful and we’re told to wait for a miscarriage over Christmas. 😥. Hopefully you can get a private scan ASAP to put your mind at rest. Good luck

Hi, Thank you for your reply. I am so sorry for your loss. That sounds really hard over Christmas too. Can I ask how far along were you? With all the waiting I fear a miscarriage will be over Christmas for us too. I will try and get a private scan as I'd prefer to find out sooner rather than later. I feel super sad even though I don't know for sure yet. Last time it was 10 weeks before my miscarriage where the baby had stopped growing at 5.5 weeks. Hope you are getting ok ok with everything xx

I was 6 weeks at the private scan due to previous loss I wanted reassurance this one would be fine but didn’t turn out that way. I then had another 3 weeks at the EPAU with weekly scans to then be told that’s it and wait to miscarry over Christmas. It was rubbish because my body looked pregnant and I knew I wasn’t then typical the first 2 days back at work the miscarriage happened at work. Really hope everything is ok with you. I’ve got fiends who had zero symptoms so everything might be fine. Our natural conception has ended and now the long ivf road… xx

Oh no that sounds so awful. I really am sorry for your loss. Thank you for your kind words. Hope your IVF is going ok. We did 2 rounds this year and it is so hard physically and emotionally. I wish you the best of luck with your IVF xx

I lost all symptoms around 7-8 weeks and was really worried. We now have a happy, healthy almost one year old xxx

Our surro lost all her symptoms at 5 weeks but we had a scan at 7 weeks everything is fine no issues so try not to worry or stress x

Hang in there Zozoeee. My symptoms were on and off in the beginning of the pregnancy. I was terrified just like you, going for days with no symptoms at all. Symptoms in the first few months are a roller-coaster ride. I know how terrifying it is, I've had so many losses myself. Many hugs, be strong🥰
