2 lines but fading 😢

So I caved and tested. I have 2 lines but today’s is fainter than yesterday 😕. I tested late afternoon yesterday and first wee this morning. Do you think this means it’s fading?

Hi lovely. Try not to think too much into it. Some women have a darker line in the afternoon compared to the morning, it might be completely normal. There’s definitely a line there which is a good thing and it doesn’t seem too much lighter than the top one. Try and hold off for a day or two to give your levels chance to rise and hopefully you’ll have a lovely dark line. Sending lots of love! X

Thank you, I’m trying not to over think it. The photo actually makes it look more like yesterday’s but it is quite a bit lighter. My test day is Tuesday so I still have a couple of days. Xx

Hi lovely, your HCG doubles every 48 hours do it’s possible that this isn’t a true reading. Plus yesterday’s will have dried and they always look stronger when dry… To be honest I can’t tell the difference 🤷🏼‍♀️

Try and wait another day and test again, I know it’s so hard!! Everything crossed xxx

I honestly don’t think there is that much difference between those two but I completely understand the worry and anxiety that comes with getting a positive test.

Also, my lines were always significantly darker in the afternoon/evening then with first wee of the day and after talking to other lady, it’s quite common so you might have the same. Sending you a big hug, deep breaths and just try and focus on the fact you have a second line xxxx

Thank you. I had never heard of anyone having stronger lines in the afternoon. When I tested yesterday afternoon I just expected this mornings to be darker and I think I was just worried when it wasn’t. Xxx

Yeah I had the same panics but it’s happened in both my pregnancies. So much so that one of the clear blue weeks tests would go back in weeks if I used first wee of the day!xx

I've seen a few ladies on here say they had darker in the afternoon. I never tried it but it defo does happen!xx

Mine was always darker in the afternoon/evening. I started to do them twice a day and compare first morning with first morning, and afternoon/evening with the same time the following day. But first time it happened yes I panicked when the morning was lighter than the afternoon before. I also go much more reliable digital results later in the day x

There doesnt look to be much difference and when the hCG levels are starting off they dont go up very quickly (double every 48-72hrs so it's hard to see a difference. And once they dry out they always look darker. Your best bet is to test at the same time every 2 days but I know it's hard to refrain when you are panicking (I was the same). Thank you. Yeah I think I will do that and test at the same time every day. OTD is Tuesday so not too long to go now. Xx
