Lines getting fainter

We’ve just done our first round of ICSI/IVF.

We tested on Friday night and got a good strong line (9dp5dt). Saturday morning I tested again and the line was way less. We waited another 24 hours and tested again this morning and the line is the same as yesterday mornings (still very faint).

I’m going to test this evening as I heard some women can have a stronger HCG reading in the evening, but I’m petrified that I’m actually having a chemical pregnancy. I’m 11dp5dt today.

Does anyone have any advice? I’m feeling so rubbish right now 💔

Hi Strawberry 17, the best time to test is very 1st thing in the morning. The waiting game is really tough, a blood test is more accurate than a home pregnancy test so it might be worth considering to put your mind at rest Xx

I always thought that first morning urine was best but have seen a few ladies get strong lines in the evening. I would think it depends how much you have held onto your wee and how much hydrated/dehydrated you are! A couple of bloods 48hrs apart may help clarify things. Hugs.xx

My fingers are crossed for you. Like you said, it could be that the HCG was showing for the strong line but the fainter line could be from actual BFP, you don't know. It's so hard, try not to give up hope, soon you'll know for sure either way. Wishing you lots of luck Xx
