Day 8 monitoring scan

First round of ivf aged 27 no medical problem found

Today we had our day 8 scan

Left ovary only has 1 egg growing (previos scan showed 10 follicles)

Right ovary has 7 nice eggs growing at a good rate wich I'm really happy with

They have upped my menopur to 2 injections a night both containing 2 menopur powders

We have another scan Friday has anyone had it where more have grown we was hoping for collection on Monday 💕

I can’t overly relate but you’ll be very surprised how quickly they can grow. I use Menopur (6 powders though!) but only usually get about 9 eggs because I have slightly low Amh but they usually leave me to 13 days on stims.

If you’ve got 8 good ones on day 8 between the 2 ovaries, that’s a good number! But you still have several days to grow some more or let any small ones you can hardly see now get to a good size. They can grow soo quickly, literally over a couple of days. Stay positive 😊

I'm super happy with 8 as it is the nurse just seemed a little unhappy that the left ovary on had one but that was measuring 11.6 already and the 7 on the right ovary ranged from 12.6 to 6.2

Its all new to me so numbers wise I'm not clued up but as they say we only need one good one to stick xx

They are really good measurements for day 8. I believe around the 15 mark is what they aim for (approx.) which is definitely achievable by the weekend!! They can grow so quick even overnight.

8 is a good number if they all contain good quality eggs! They expect (if it’s just ivf you’re doing) approx 80% to be mature and of that approx 65% will fertilise.

I mean, these are just averages. Everyone is sooo different, you literally cannot guess, you just have to go with the flow x

Sometimes less is more! I had 22 eggs retrieved and only one made it to day 5 blastocyst. We have had to freeze as I had developed OHSS. Fingers crossed for you x

The little eggs are expected to grow at least 2mm each day so you should see a differenceGood luck for Friday
