I am 8w5d pregnant. Today my husband cook curry in which he put excessive black seeds. I eat it but now I am conscious if it can cause any harm to the fetus? I drink orange juice to minimize black seed effect? I don't want to lose this pregnancy.

Kolonji or Black seeds in 8 weeks pregnancy
Hello,
Is there a particular reason you think that the seeds will harm the baby? For reassurance, it is not on the NHS list of foods to avoid.
Even the NHS list is extremely cautious because it says to avoid liver but. a colleague of mine told me her pregnancy cravings was liver which she had. This was before the NHS list was formulated.
To my knowledge, miscarriages usually occur because of chromosomal deficiencies. So, I would worry less about what particular foods you eat- just have a healthy balanced diet.
All the best 🙏🏾
According to WebMD (which is usually quite reliable I have found), eating in moderation is fine. I'm sure as a one-off it will be fine but probably best not to make a habit of it! webmd.com/vitamins/ai/ingre... xx
Hi Hiramunir. if you are anxious about any foods, the don't eat them. Just stick to what you know. Hopefully it won't cause any harm, fingers crossed. Diane
few days i craved for potato curry and indian puri. in potato curry we put different spices to make it bit sour. i think that sourness is the main taste for which i got too much craving. when i make i put less black seeds. but because i am on bedrest so my husband was making it and he put extra spoon of black seeds. it was so delicious i can't control myself from eating it. after eating i searched on black seeds. 🙆♀️
