Blighted Ovum and HCG levels ?

Hi Ladies,

I am trying to research a bit for blighted Ovum and if there is a pattern in hcg levels.

No need to say that it’s because I’m super scared if I could be at risk for having one.

My levels have doubled until now, and came back at 5800 20 days past transfer.

Anyone having knowledge of what an approximate high hcg level is for a blighted ovum?

The only hcg I had checked was with my 3rd mmc so at 9w it was 17500 and within 4 days it had risen to 23000 which would have been slow & low for 9w it was blighted I mc at 12w

I don’t think there is much correlation. But now you should focus on US findings and forget about the HCG! Good luck

Hi Sancor, I had high HCG levels and everything doubling perfectly and like normal but it was a blighted ovum. My HCG levels even continued to go up after they diagnosed me.

I don't think exact HCG numbers can tell you either way, unfortunately. It's all about the ultrasound scan. I hope your scan and everything else turns out okay 🤞❤️
