Zymot, fertilisation and blastgen

So this is our third round of IVF/ICSI. So we threw in the extras.

Long protocol which began with a endometrial scratch.

We had 12 eggs collected, 9 were mature and we had 5 fertilised.

We chose to have the zymot where the sperm are centrifuged and filtered to find the ‘best sperm’.

Then we had the blastgen added where the embryos are put in a solution day 0-3 and another solution day 3-5. This solution/culture simply put helps the embryos growth.

This cycle reminds me of my first cycle minus the add on’s.

On day 5 at the blastocyst if they make it we have added the embryo glue ready for a fresh cycle. Like I said, we are throwing everything at this cycle. Even the poor embryologist was getting muddle up giving me the update 😃

I have since had egg collection and I have been drinking a concoction of beetroot and ginger juice to help my endometrium (lining) thicken.

To be honest if it works I couldn’t/wouldn’t be able to pinpoint what helped. If it doesn’t work we can say we have tried it all.

I hope everyone else is having a positive experience in their cycle and fingers truly crossed, it works well for you all.

Baby dust to everyone trying xxxx

Hi DianeArnold, thank you for your well wishes - it means a lot. I guess I’m writing everything so I can process it myself ☺️Xxx

That's incredible! Had never heard of the different embryo cultures... amazing. I thought I threw the kitchen sink at it but you win, hands down. If you're up for it, do the acupuncture too before and after the transfer. Even if it plays no role (and studies show it may!), it will make you feel great. Best of luck!!!!

Hi Bella_Bee, thanks for the response ☺️I honestly thought I missed the boat with acupuncture, thinking it needed to be done 8 weeks prior, on a weekly basis. So, I opted with the hajima fertility cupping session. I felt so good after too. There’s so much ‘add-ons’ out there. It’s amazing how technology has advanced as it has xx

I know I know... and it's probably nothing even we do. But just tba, the study that showed effectiveness only looked at acupuncture on transfer day so you haven't missed the boat. Fingers crossed xoxo

Brilliant thanks for the tip! I’ve read one fab papers i have a 11am transfer but I’m expected to be at the clinic for 10:30am. So il have to see if the acupuncturist can fit me in first thing. Thank you again xx
