Just wondering if anyone has tried taking low dose aspirin while stimulating for IVF in the hope of getting more follicles? I have read that apparently the increased blood flow could potentially help more follicles to grow? But I have seen information for and against this
Thanks

It is supposed to help you with the blood flow in the endometrium and during pregnacy it helps with the arteries in the uterus. It is a quite common practice in ivf clinics where i live. Many even give you heparin on top as well but i didn't take any.
Hi Flora, I've looked into this, read the scientific papers and talked to doctors about it. It can help some women, but it can also be detrimental for other women. Personally I've decided not to take it in order not to risk anything. Best to chat to the docs and to make sure you're doing the best for your body in your situation! x
Thank you I don't suppose you have the links to these studies? I think I am probably not going to take it but I read in Alan beers book that there was a couple of studies where it improved the follicle count. Why is everything so hard too many big decisions😪
Just to add, my doctor has been dismissive of several things but has always said when things won’t be harmful (e.g. CoQ10) and said it’s up to me what I do with those things so I do trust what he says regarding aspirin.
Ok thank you everyone I do have a blood clotting disorder pai 4g4g so will be getting clexane for future transfers but I was wondering about the follicle issue as in Alan Beers immunology book he mentions a couple of studies where it improved the amount of follicles for ivf but someone I'm at on a support page with shared an article with me saying it can actually reduce the amount .
