I'm on my second round of IVF and I've just had my first scan - 17 follicles altogether, so many more than last time (7), but today's ones are much smaller ranging in size from 2mm to 11mm (stims day 6), whereas last time they ranged in size from 8mm to 17mm (Stimulation day 7). Is this normal? I wonder if my clinic may want to change my protocol from tomorrow accordingly, although this time round I've been on a higher dose of menopur and am starting the cetrotide a day later than during the first round. Difficult to say! What do you think? Any thoughts are greatly appreciated! Thank you!! xx

Hi, I had the same in the egg collection that I just had. I had slow developing, smaller follicles compared to the last round. I delayed Cetrotide by 1 day and stimmed for 2 more days. In the end, I actually had 1 more egg collected than the last time. So, don't worry! x
Hi LRed and thanks for your reply! I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one in this position and I'm glad you've had a good outcome! I'm having the impression that I'm feeling a bit more bloated and exhausted this time round in comparison to last time too - quite a change in the number of follicles there! I'm hoping that the small ones will catch up. On to my next scan on Thursday - fingers crossed! x
