Has anybody had a failed IVF or an egg collection with a bad result after getting the covid vaccine?

Just trying to find out if that could have effected my result... as there is no study about it...

The experts are saying Covid vaccination does not affect fertility or unborn babies. I had my first dose a week or so before becoming pregnant ( I'm 10 weeks now ) Think you did the right thing to get protection against Covid especially for when you become pregnant. I'm really sorry to hear your round wasn't successful that's very devastating 🥲 Xx

I had the 1st dose on June 9 and my egg collection was successful on July 1st with 10 eggs, 8 fertilized with 5 healthy embryos. My cycle failed, but this is the 3rd one, the first 2 failed before the vaccine, and we are invesrigating for silent endometriosis. I had my 2nd dose yesterday, and i'm planning to do a FET in a month. My doctor told me that the vaccine doesn't affect your ability to get pregnant. But you're right, there are not enough studies around it and we can get really lost. I personnaly prefer to take the vaccine before getting pregnant just to get the protection. Best of luck!

Hi MagicTourmaline. I have not heard of the Covid-19 vaccine causing problems with IVf to fail and/or problems with pregnancy. Your failure could just be a heartbreaking experience, which hopefully will only happen the once, fingers crossed. Diane

Hi - I don’t think there is enough research to have an definitive answer, but there is also not any evidence that the vaccine would affect fertility or ivf. I had a failed FET and squeezed my vaccine in before my second FET. I had the second vaccine dose about 4 weeks prior to the transfer and it was successful. My sister and another friend also became pregnant naturally shortly after their vaccines. Good luck on your next transfer or cycle! I have read that odds go up the more attempts you make. Fingers crossed for you ❤️
