My OTD was actually yesterday and it was a positive. I am cramping awful though, in my back, lower belly, feels like AF is trying her best to come. Is this normal? Or should I be expecting AF? I thought this could be a chemical but it’s been 4 days since I’ve tested and started to really cramp and AF still isn’t here. Every time I get excited a stabbing pain gets me and brings me down. Thanks x

Hey JudithSS, firstly congratulations on your positive test result! This is great news btw. Just wanted to reach out and say I had the same thing happen up me. I cramped for at least a week after and a few days before my OTD and positive result. And very very bad cramps plus spotting. My Dr saw me at 5wks and said it was normal and also the progesterone supplements I’m taking add to the pain . I know it feels bad right now and you’ll worry yourself silly but cramping seems to be a normal part of it. Also to help me be less anxious I tested every 48hrs for a week to make sure line was getting darker then after three tests, I stopped. Then tested again in a week. Haven’t tested since. Try and get some rest. You can have paracetamol in the meantime if it gets too painful. Drink lots and maybe short walks might help. All the very best to you. Congrats again !!!
Congratulations on your BFP! That'a wonderful news!!!! I was a massive cramper before and after my BFP too!! I had a shock surprise natural pregnancy while waiting to start my second EC. My period cramps were so bad that I was positive it was happening any day so I didn't think I could be pregnant...even though I was two weeks late by the time I took a test! That's how positive I was that my period was about to start! 😊 I was told it is normal but to call/go to emergency if my cramps became very severe and I started to bleed. Enjoy your positive test!! 😊😊😊😊
Congratulations! I had cramping similar to period cramps both before and after my bfp - it is normal (and stressful!) but just means the embryo is implanting in and getting cosy!
