Quite a lot of bad news on here today 😕 I'll add our Day 3 update! So of our 2 embryos, our day 3 report is that one is VERY cr*p , at only 2 cells (!) and the other is just averagely disappointing at 6 cells 🤦‍♀️. Very much doubt either will make it to Saturday. If I were a betting woman I'd predict I'll get the call that it's a bust when I'm about 45 mins into my hour-long drive to the clinic 😂☹. What a business 🤷‍♀️Hugs to all struggling today xx

Aww love, sorry to hear this. I was really hoping for better news for you. There is still hope though!! Sometimes they are just a little slower to develop - maybe your average one will keep trucking on. Gosh it's such a freaking lottery isn't it. Keeping my fingers crossed for you and sending hugs xx

Thanks Lovely. I haven't lost hope completely yet. Kind of wish my clinic had offered a Day3 Transfer. I know it maybe messes up their stats if they fail, but for me, having zero to transfer at the end of a cycle is just such a kicker. You just think 'why on earth have we bothered' 😔 xx

I completely get that - I guess their thinking is that if it doesn't make it to day 5 perhaps it's much less likely to continue to grow at day 3 - but at least you could get the chance to try. It sucks so much. xx

Sorry to hear this. I really hope the 6 cells will catch up by day 5. It’s awful what we have to go through and all the different stages we have just to get that perfect embryo, and even then no guarantee of a pregnancy. Xx

I had a pretty poor day 3 call for my embryos too but after I thought it was all over we actually got 2 to blast on day 6 which were frozen. I didn’t have a fresh transfer but I would definitely say all is not lost yet xx

Thanks so much for your kind thoughts. I'm actually verging between super negative and sceptical, like when I wrote this update (!) and then quite positive, for brief periods, thinking, ok the 2-cell one would have to do a hell of a lot of catching up but the 6-cell might make it... i was rated 2 out of 4 by the clinic (one being the best) so not so bad there, and their info documents say a normal Day 3 embryo should be between 6 and 10 cells, so I guess it's still within the 'acceptable' range 🤷‍♀️ Well, I'll know tomorrow anyway xx

I too had a sad day 3 call. But by day 5 I was pleasantly surprised. Best news from the bad news was the result - so don’t lose hope!

Thanks so much - it's good to hear stories where things turned around! I guess the 6-cell one wasn't too bad really, so who knows, maybe it's managed to speed up a bit 😂xx
