Help needed - delayed egg collection

Help needed!

I had a scan this morning all set for egg egg collection weds. Clinic have subsequently called my partner and told him it’s moved to Thursday. I can’t get hold of anyone at the clinic and they have now finished for the day.

I’m presuming I don’t do my trigger shot tonight as initially planned? I’ve also only got enough medication for one more shot of Goneral F which I was meant to take tonight slightly earlier than planned. Do I stick to what I’ve been doing ?and what about the Synrel ?

My clinic have previously given two dates, so say they would give you your instructions for your trigger time on Wednesday and what meds you would need

Or if it was Thursday what time you’d take your trigger and on what day along with meds.

From memory the trigger needs to be taken 24 - 36 hrs before collection but your hospital should tell you.

I wouldn’t be confident advising you what you should be doing medication wise, you need that instruction from your nurses. Do you have an emergency out of hours number you can call?! They won’t have access to your notes but they maybe able to give you advice

Thanks, my partner managed to get through to them eventually and they will email through the instructions. I’m hoping mad that they called a 4pm when they shut at 4:30 and the switch board system is a joke but at least we now know what we are doing! It’s my first cycle so I’m learning as I go!

It’s a bit naughty of them, as sometimes in the lead up to EC they can’t always be sure exactly what day you will go in, it depends on scans and bloods
