Thanks to everyone for your helpful advice on my last post! I've found this forum so helpful and the community seems so strong. Just thought I'd update on my hycosy last week.
I was quite nervous beforehand and it wasn't very comfortable but it was all over in about 20 mins. The initial internal scan showed that I have a cyst on one of my ovaries but the doctor seemed to think it was normal and would probably go in a couple of cycles. I have to have a rescan in a couple of months. Unfortunately when they tried to get the tube in to put the liquid to check my tubes they had a bit of a hard time and the tube slipped out so they had to do it again. It caused quite a lot of cramping but everything looked ok. I ended up feeling really dizzy afterwards but they were lovely and let me lie down for a bit afterwards even though it was the last appointment of the day. I had to have a blood test to check that the cyst isn't a tumour (he said just standard and not to be worried) but I haven't heard anything so presume all is fine! The HCA assisting was really nice and put me at ease (though she was pregnant which wasn't ideal!).
Have a follow up in a couple of weeks so will see what they say. Also going to ask about DNA fragmentation for my husband as a few people suggested that here.
Now the silly story hoping it will make someone laugh. Had my first covid vaccine this morning and they ask a load of questions before including "are you or is there a chance you could be pregnant?". I answered yes as I know I ovulated at the weekend and we are still trying while we wait for treatment. I then went into a ridiculously long ramble about how we've been trying and failing and told her I had ovulated but realistically I'm probably not pregnant. She was just looking at me and then said "ok... So do you want to go ahead?" And I just said yes and let her stab me! Feel like she didn't need my life story 😂
