Down regulation help??

Hi ladies

I'm on my first round of ivf been ttc for over 5 years now. We have mfi but all of my tests so far have been ok. Started down regulation on day 4 of cycle because of a cancellation after 2 years of Tests and set backs. Went for baseline scan today to see if down regulation has worked after 3 weeks of injections. To be told I haven't down regulated and have 2 small cysts on one ovary and been informed to continue for Atleast another week. Has anyone else had a similar problem and what was the outcome??? Feel like every appointment there is another set back would love some hope or advice xxx

Hi ICSI. People differ with their down regulation and need longer on the medication. You are one of them, because of the two small cycts. A nuisance obviously, but hopefully all will be resolved in a week's time ready for stimulation. Good luck! Diane

Hiya, I down regulated for approximately 3 weeks (hated it by week two). My baseline scan revealed 1 cyst what was an old follicle from the previous month (was a little pissed it wasn't an active follice). They wanted to do a blood test prior to starting stims to make sure it wasn't releasing hormones. If it was I'd need to stop down regs, let my body regulate itself then start again. Luckily it was fine and I started stims that night. I know it's a cliche but take it one step at a time, one appointment at a time and try not to think ahead and kinda live in the moment otherwise you'll drive yourself insane. Best of luck xx

Thank you for replying ladies ❤️ It’s just frustrating isn’t it when everyone says down regulation is the easy part and it doesn’t work and feels like another stumble in the road. Thanks for the advice and luck! Gives me hope that by next week hopefully I will be able to start stims too 🤞🏻 X
