Periods after egg retrieval

Hi

I am having periods(?) today, it has been 9 days from my egg retrieval. I was hospitalized with ohss and post egg retrieval pain 3days after egg retrieval, and they asked me to rest but ive been doing some cooking so now im worried. What happens to periods after egg retrieval do they continue as usual or could this be any other bleeding?

Hi there, I would not worry. Your cycles will eventually return to normal. They do tell you that following egg retrieval your period may be shorter or longer.

I have had much shorter cycles following my last 2 egg retrievals. AF arrived early for both. The following month when I was meant to start stims, she was late.

This has not affected my ovulation and ability to do future IVF rounds.
