Conflicting tests

Hi all,

I did a pregnancy test yesterday, 1 day before my missed period and got a positive from a clear blue, positive from 2 of those little cheap strips but a negative from a £1 test from Savers that claims to test 6 days before your due.

I retested today (day of period) and got the exact same result! The cheap ones weren’t in the same pack and definitely worked as the control line showed.

Has anyone had this before?

I would use very sensitive tests as it won't show potentially. I used first response and clear blue digital which showed 12 DPO. You must use first urine of the day-try not to pee in the night to make sure it's as concerted as poss.I would definitely believe the clear blue tests as they are sensitive false positives are incredibly rare- I've never had one, usually if you are taking trigger shot medication for IVF might give you a false positive if it hasn't had time to leave your system. False negative tests are far more common.

I think the cheap tests aren't as sensitive as they claim or could be a faulty batch of tests.

Thank you! It was a cheapy but claimed to be sensitive (however can’t see where they say how much it does detect!)

I’m going to stick to clear blue. My husband has just come home saying ‘I’ve bought you a pack of 10’...he got ovulation sticks 🤦🏽‍♀️

Oh dear men 😂 Clearblue are reliable so I'd trust them with a positive test Xx
