Clinics for age 40, low AMH, 3/4 follicles, poor responder to medication.

Hi All,

Can anyone recommend any ivf clinics in London that specialises for the following:

age 40, low AMH, 3/4 follicles, poor responder to medication.

I have had 3 cycles already using long and short protocol. Thinking of mild or natural modified protocols now.

Has anyone in my boat used Create fertility in London?

While they specialise in natural protocol i saw that their track record was just average for my age range.

Any advise would be so much appreciated. Itching to book my next treatment.

Pls help.

Many thanks.

I went with the evewell and would recommend. I’m 37 with low amh. 5 follicles. I used growth hormone and got 5 blastocysts. Good luck

Oh many congratulations... really happy to hear it. What is a growth hormone? Is it another form or say menopur or gonalF?

Thank you! No it is an additional option. It’s not actually recommended by the HFEA but there has been good results in studies for improving egg quality for those with low amh. I also took DHEA and CoQ10 xx

I was in the same boat. I did Testosteron priming for 2 weeks before starting a short cycle. Pergoveris helped me and reacted better than other fertility meds. Best of luck 🍀

Hi Butterly, thank you. I hadnt heard of pergoveris before, my docs used gonalf, menopure and meriofert. Which clinic did you do your treatment? Xx

Just don't get dishearned if some meds just don't work. Menopur didn't work at all on me. The follicles grew very little and few while with pergoveris I had egg collection after 7 days which was quick. you have to see which meds work on you and it's hard to say in advance even for doctors. My clinic is in the middle east as I'm based there. Best of luck 🍀

Thank you butterfly, thats so helpful and makes me think its worth doing another cycle (today i was thinking, whats the point if i dont respond with more than 2 eggs:( was feeling abit disheartened but this new medication has given me some hope). Did you get pregnant with pergoveris? Xx

I did Testosteron patches on my arm for 3 weeks before I started my cycle. These were not available here so had to ship it from Europe 😑 It's a gel you rub in, gives you very good mood too 😊. Then I had a short cycle started 3rd day on my period with pergoveris till egg collection. And the first 5 days clomid. I cancelled egg collection as some big follicles dissaperared on the ultrasound so only 2 follicles were thereI was so upset and dishearned. But I didn't ovulate, so it was strange. We did timed intercourse instead and got pregnant. Now almost 5 month along. See it can happen even with very few follicles like me. Don't give up.

Oh wow many congrats.... thats amazing. Did you do timed intercourse in the following months cycle? And did you time it just using ovulation kit or were you getting scans?

No it was the same cycle I had stimulation. We just had some sexy time every day. The doctor told us in the next 2 days I would ovulate by myself. So that's how it happend :)

I did another cycle without priming before and had egg collection. I had a lot more follicles then and grew faster like 5 follicles. And they are in the freezer now.

This is great news Butterly. Did you use perfoveris and tamixifen for this cycle too?

Only pergoveris and clomid. No priming.

The first 5 days 100 mg clomid and only one vial pergoveris which is 150mg.then after 2 vials of pergoveris without clomid. Best of luck to you 🍀🎈
