8th transfer complete

So our 8th little embaby is on board, now for the dreaded 2ww! First time natural cycle and I have certainly found it easier so far, hoping maybe this is the answer!

Thanks, not yet our clinic suggested a natural cycle which we’ve not done before so trying that and then if that doesn’t work we’ll hopefully go straight to ERA. Where are you at now?xx

Hi Millbanks, how does ovarian cyst effect FET?I have a 3.5cm ovarian cyst which my dr said we just need monitor it and we don't need to do anything before starting stimulation! But l am not sure if it is a right approach! l am thinking to ask her l prefer to drain it before stimulation.

Hi lovely, there are 2 types. 1 just sits there doing nothing and can usually be ignored. 2 is producing hormones so it affects the levels of hormones in FET which is obviously tightly controlled. So if you have the latter (like me) they want it gone before they start with more hormones. So it depends which you have xx

Oh amazing! You’re back onto the rollercoaster... I’ll join you soon, period expected to start tomorrow and will have a stimulated cycle, so I’m guessing transfer in about three weeks. Fingers crossed this is the one!

Don’t know... it’s going to be my last attempt (no.7). Mixed feelings. Of course want it to work but also need the uncertainty to be over one way or the other. Got a second opinion, had a scratch and will take a day more progesterone as they thought I’d only ever had it for a short while before transfer. It might well be the trick, got only one embryo to play with left... how are you about it all?

Side effects are pretty much zero as we are on a natural cycle I just have 1 lubion a day. I was quite positive this weekend then noticed a tiny bit of spotting this morning which freaked me and had me writing it off! It’s so hard isn’t it? You want to be hopeful but also want to protect yourself xx

Oh so nice to do a natural one! Well, the spotting could well be implantation bleeding! Especially since you have your natural progesterone plus then some, so should have plenty! Crossing fingers and toes for you!

Thanks, basically I didn’t take any oestrogen tablets they just monitored me with scans to check when ovulation happened then transferred the embryo 5 days later and now I just have some progesterone to top up the natural progesterone if that makes sense? Trying not to get my hopes up as they’ve been crushed every time with previous transfers. Hope this is the one (going to have a double again this week). Just feel it’s frustrating when even the docs don’t know what medication to put me on. I’ve asked for double progesterone this time, so hope that does the trick. How are you? X

Know exactly what you mean, it’s so hard after going through so many fails, I always dread test day and would rather stay in my little bubble! That’s good they are trying something different. What progesterone do you use? I had a little spotting this morning so was feeling quite down after that but I rung the clinic and they said if it’s stopped and is brown not to worry but ring back if there’s any more. I just hate the waiting game! Good luck with your transfer xx

I tested a little early last time that’s how I knew it was a chemical pregnancy. But yes, always dread test day.. it’s like your whole life hinges on that one little moment. My clinic won’t prescribe progesterone injections so I only use the cyclogest pessaries. Is that what you use? Hopefully the little spotting was the embryo implanting, and everything goes well this time x

I always used to spot for almost the whole 2ww on pessaries so am on Lubion injections xx
