Here we go again 😱

Hiya, I am back and waiting for my period (due Tuesday) to start my medication and hopefully have a transfer next month.

I have three frosties left from my egg collections in 2018. My first transfer on June 2018 failed. My second in December 2018 was successful and I have a little girl who is now 16 months. This forum was amazing then and provided so much support when I really needed it.

I turned 35 last month and felt the time is right to try again. We would love to have another child and do not know if this will be possible. Ideally I would not want to be doing it in a pandemic (it is all so different this time having to do it all on my own and having virtual consultations) but these things cannot wait and who knows when we will ever go back to "normal".

I'm nervous and anxious as expected. I have not lost all the weight I promised myself I would and I have not been as strict as I was last time but I have quit the caffeine, am taking the supplements and trying to eat as well as I can (while working and running around after a one year old!)

Wishing everyone on this journey the very best of luck and will update once transfer has taken place to see who else will be on their TWW xx

Hi Hollie, I’m in a similar situation to you! I have a 14 month old from a fresh cycle in 2019 and have 4 Frosties and we have decided to start trying again sooner rather than later. I have just been accepted for treatment next month so will collect my meds this month and then start them on my next period which is due the end of Feb. Haven’t had a frozen transfer before so feeing anxious but excited! Good luck for your transfer 🀞🏼 Xx

Just want to wish you the best of luck. I have a 17 month old from a fresh cycle and would love to have a FET sooner rather than later but my period has only just returned this month as I’m still breastfeeding, so a little longer to wait. Wishing you all the best πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•

Hopefully your period comes on time. Mine was very late after egg retrieval.

I’m in a very similar situation but won’t get to start my next cycle until the end of the month at least. My first FET in 2017 resulted in our daughter who is 2 and we had 6 Frosties! Decided to try for number 2 end of last year but had a failed cycle In December! Have my follow up consultation next week from the failed cycle so hopefully can go again on the next cycle! Wishing you good luck x

Sorry to hear about your failed round. They are so hard to take. I'm not sure if I will feel any different this time if it doesn't work. Let's hope we both have success in our next rounds 🀞🀞🀞 xx

I was so gutted ! I suppose as our first FET ( no fresh just a freeze all) was successful we just assumed this one would work 🀞🏻 However the protocol was completely different to my first cycle so don’t know if that it why πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ But I started spotting after 4days so have a few question for my consultant when I finally get to speak to them! That has been the worst as well as we have had to wait so long for a follow up when I would have liked to start on my next cycle not getting any younger!! What protocol are you doing is private or self funded @nhs hospital?

Oh what a nightmare for you. My clinic only do FET's unless specific circumstances demand a fresh transfer. Therefore both transfers I have had were FET's and will of course be the same again this time. If you were spotting can indicate progesterone deficiency so may be worth increasing those next time. A lot of the time they don't know why the transfer didn't work which is so frustrating but I remember a consultant saying lots of people get pregnant naturally and the embryo doesn't implant but they just don't know. Difference is in IVF you know! It made me feel a bit better about it. Hope your next round produces a BFP 🀞🀞🀞 x
