Yes, me again! Might be posting a million times in the next few weeks. I’ve done the 2ww A LOT and I’d just thought I’d go back to basics and throw it out there and see what other people do to get through it. I know exercise, Netflix, eating well etc etc but just wondered if people had any specific books/ podcasts/films/ pastimes or anything really that they could recommend that maybe I’d not thought of???! Miracle question I know! Am open to any ideas.....
Thanks tribe 🙏😘

I’m reading Where The Crawdads Sing - started it last night and nearly finished it. It’s such a beautiful book, I can’t put it down!
Other than reading, I plan to have a couple of slow walks, I’ve got acupuncture tomorrow, rest good food and watch funny films!
I’ve done jigsaws in the past which occupy my mind though - maybe try that? I did that alongside podcasts - I like Fearne Cottons Happy Place and Elizabeth Day, How to Fail.
I’m going to bake as well, make some cookies or something!
I think you and I are very much on the same page!! I ordered a jigsaw puzzle today and you’ve just reminded me that I meant to order Where the Crawdads sing- thanks so much. Will do now. I’ve literally heard rave reviews!! I also subscribe to both of those podcasts- they are both great. Thanks v much. Goooooood luck 😘xx
It is SO good... I can’t get enough. I’ve forced myself to put it away now so that I have it to look forward to tomorrow! I’ve got two others lined up right after! X
I listened to it on audio and really enjoyed that. I similarly listen to things whilst puzzling! Not neccessarily a TWW thing but what about trying knitting or crochet. Buy yourself a cross stitch kit?
My favourite book at the moment is "Where the Crawdads Sing" by Delia Owens - its so beautiful! My favourite podcast is "Stuff you should know" and it's completely random topics but really interesting and entertaining. Good luck my lovely xxx
Yes I’ve literally just been prompted to order that book which I’ll do now. I’ve heard rave reviews. Re that podcast is it one with a little red box? Just looked it up xx
I am envious that you've not read it because it means you get to read it first time!! I will read it again. The imagery is beautiful and the ending is perfect. Yes it is the little red box - 2 American guys who sound a bit dopey but are actually really smart. I love ti xx
Good luck Hifer.I have transfer tomoz 3rd time lucky and have bought myself some paint by number canvasses with pictures id like in the nursery. Positive thinking and all that.
Good luck to you too 😘. Excellent suggestion re the paint by numbers pic. I did buy a Van Gogh one at another point in IVF but we’ve since moved house and I think it’s now in storage 🧐. Really good idea xx
Everything seems well, thanks for asking! Not had a scan since viability scan at 7 weeks, but seems to be doing ok! Just never been here before so all so alien, but happy.
Great news. Keeping everything crossed for a smooth journey. Many congrats 😘xx
Good luck 🤞🏼 & toes crossed for you x I would decorate just for something to do or the diy jobs that needed to be done. Have you done diamond art? My daughter likes doing them if you like puzzles crafts etc
Thank you lovely. I have lots of sorting to be done. We moved house in July last year and there’s still stuff to sort out so that’s def on the list!! No I haven’t heard of diamond art. Will look into it, thank you 🙏 xx
Hi Hifer, good luck to you! It’s hard when there are no external distractions. I usually do some yoga- incidentally I see a post about from Diane (admin). And a little opposite to some gentle meditative vibes.. I just watched The Serpent. Thoroughly recommend for distraction xx
Thank you. Ahhh interesting that you recommend the serpent. My Mum said that she had seen the first but I wasn’t sure about it. It’s going on my list now! Thanks a lot for the tip xx
So just seeing this now 🥳🙌🙌🙌🙌💗💗💗💗 i did the mindful ivf app, mindfulness colouring and trash on Netflix . Watched a lot of Friends too and ate well . Plus some treats. Rested a lot . Some fresh air walks 😘😘😘💐💐💐🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 sending love and hugs hugs 💗🙏🏻💐
