Period not come yet...my cycles are usually clockwork.

Hello,

After finishing an IVF freeze all cycle, i had a bleed at 27 days after stopping all the drugs.

My cycles are 25/26 days but I'm currently on day 29 which hasn't happened in over 5 years of app tracking.

I notice I'm starting to get my hopes up a little... Is this just normal for cycles to be a little longer after treatment or should I be buying a test?

IVF does really mess with your cycles, they can be longer, shorter, pretty much anything... I wouldn't test unless I was well over a week late, just because I hate seeing negative tests! But if it's playing on your mind and testing would make you feel better rather than worse then go for it. Ten to one it's a longer cycle after the IVF.

Thank you. I need bringing back to earth. You're right... Also hate seeing neg tests. Plus side is the later I am, the less likely it is for this cycle to clash with Xmas and NY so my FET could come sooner. X

Hi Ashbb, I always have a couple of longer cycles after I finish an IVF cycle. It really does mess with your head unfortunately. I find it delays my ovulation but my luteal phase is more of a normal length. Good luck for timing things for your FET xx

Thank you. That's good to hear. It's bizarre, usually I'm mega PMT'd, acne breakouts, headaches leading up but nothing yet! Certainly confusing my head. 🤣

I’m similar. I had freeze all early November, then a bleed about 12 days later. I’m now on day 35 when I’m usually 29/30 days - never been 35 days in all years of tracking. Had dull cramps for about 2 week now, but not my usual PMS symptoms. Going to wait until Wednesday before I test as that’d be a good week late, and may also give my clinic a call for reassurance - I’m concerned that if I’m much later that my dates won’t line up for my FET.

Good to hear I'm not the only one. We did try naturally this month but had no idea when I was ovualting so think the timing was wrong. Hope there's some development soon. Yet another "wait and see" situation in the IVF process 🤷🤦🏼‍♀️

My period just came today after 36 days. The happiest I think I've ever been about it coming. Contacted my clinic. Hoping they can bring my FET forward! How you gettin on?

Mine arrived too. I’ve got a scan booked so they can see all has settled after OHSS. Hoping to get my FET sorted a bit sooner now too.Good luck

🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽 Lovely, I think ivf can affect your cycles after but equally having tried naturally there’s always a chance. Have you tested? Or any signs of AF yet?x

Day 30 and nothing yet. My minds going wild imagining I could wrap a positive pregnancy test up for my husband's Christmas 🤣. It's likely just a long cycle like the others have said... I'll test on Christmas eve if it's still not come. That'll be a week late. Either way I hope i get my FET sooner!

My period is always about a week late the month after a fresh cycle. It’s such a mind fuck! I have a similar cycle length to you and normally ends up 31-32 days on that month xx

Clinic said the delay is a result of the Prostap injection. They said it takes up to 8 weeks to leave your system after treatment 🤦🏼‍♀️
