After much deliberation I’m going to try one more round of IVF.
I’m 42 next week & my husband has low motility. We had a successful icsi baby in 2016 but have had three failed frozen ET’s since.
I’ve tried to get on with my life but something keeps pulling me back to have one more try. Even though we haven’t really got the money to.
I’m guessing we will start after Christmas now but I want to start taking supplements to help. I’m already taking folic acid. Does anyone have any other suggestions to plan for a cycle?
Are there many success stories at 42?
Many Thanks

Wising you lots of luck! I'm 43 and 12 weeks and 3 days pregnant after a long journey to get here so it's definitely possible. Mine is with my own eggs. My friend had her twins at 47 with her own eggs as well! Have a look at 'it starts with the egg' personally I'd avoid reading the whole book as it can be overwhelming but there is some great advice on supplements etc. Good luck! xx
Ah that’s amazing Libsie! Congratulations to you ❤️ Thank you for the helpful suggestion too. I’ll get hold of the book today & have a little look. Thank you. I’m scared but excited. Good luck with your pregnancy xx
I am 43 and have taken ubiquinol and Fish oil with DHA to try and improve egg quality, I have no idea if its worked as we didnt suddenly magic up a BFP but I have seen a lot of success stories on here particularly with the ubiquinol. A lot of people on here will tell you to take DHEA but be careful with this, its only really recommended if you have a low AMH and I self prescribed it with a reasonable AMH and had all sorts of side effects and sent my natural cycles wonky.
You will find heaps of success stories from ladies in their 40s on here so you are in good company, it certainly isnt 'old' anymore and hopefully given your body knows what to do it will remember again!
