Anyone had a mature follicle size 12-13mm?

Hi,

I am wondering whether any of you had a follicle that was 12-13mm or less and mature? I.e a follicle that fertilised via IVF or ICSI without being matured in a lab.

Thanks

Hi Lilly12255 my first cycle I had 1 that matured at 13mm it fertilized but stalled at day 4. It may have grown slightly after my trigger shot but was only at 13mm the day before trigger. I had been on stims for 15days at that point. Am a slow responder.

Not for me. Mine have all needed to be 14mm or bigger on day of trigger (so I suppose at least 16mm by collection) to yield a mature egg. I did have one cycle where they got a mature egg from a 12mm on day of trigger but it was rubbish quality and didn’t make it past 3

Hi, I had 3 follicles at 12mm on trigger day and all were mature and fertilised! Ended up with 6 blastocysts out of 8 eggs by day 5 so you never know, best of luck

Thank you for responding. Did you take cetrotide or any drug to stop you ovulating before trigger? I assume most of your eggs were above 12mm and that is why your doctor triggered you? Did they track which eggs gave which embryo or is are you basing your conclusion on having had 8 eggs and 6 blastocysts, i.e. there must have been at least 1 of the smaller eggs that fertilised fine?

Hi, yes I was taking cetrotide before the trigger, I only had 8 follicles to begin with so based on that at least one would have been 12mm if not more, The days before egg collection I’d kinda disregarded the smaller ones as everyone talks about the ideal size, we felt extremely lucky as this was our first round!

What was the size of the bigger ones at trigger date?

The biggest was 23mm and the rest between 15 and 19mm apart from the three smaller ones, they did say the smaller ones might catch up.. either they did or did just fine as they were, we lost one on day 3 and another by day 5 transfer day so they all did pretty well and I have a 4bb on board in my TWW! Where are you in your cycle?
