Hello ladies!! Wow I can't even believe I am writing this but I am pregnant naturally this time!! I found out this morning. Still very early days and not getting my hopes up.

I can't get through to the doctors but was wondering does anyone know if I wanted to go get an early scan done so I need to go through my doctor's? Xxx

Aww massive congratulations lovely! Yes, if natural conception you will need to req a early scan via doctors, mine didn't seem like it would be easy and only really if there was a reason to. So I paid for private one at 7 weeks xxx

Thank you! It's been a nightmare this last week. I should be 6 weeks soon. I am a bit scared as I took steroids in my last pregnancy to lower my immune system and now I have nothing. Called covrenty and Warwick hospital where I had my NK cells tested to see if they can prescribe me some but they said that they are not now due to covid. Really scared :(

Congratulations!

Most EPUs aren’t offering reassurance scans at the moment due to covid (even if you have a history of recurrent miscarriages) and not all let you self refer. I’d pay privately to have one or if your clinic is friendly see if they’ll do one - also your clinic might give your progesterone and clexane etc if you would have normally took that as part of an IVF transfer (mine did)

Awww this is amazing news, so pleased for you! Most places are discouraging early scans/hospital visits due to covid unless you are experiencing bleeding etc. Its still worth a try though! If not we have had scans done at babybond and they are pretty good for £70. All the best.xx

Thanks very much! I will be booking one for next week. Really scared Cinderella. I had steroids to lower my immune system last time and now I feel so empty like I have no support. I am trying to get progesterone from my doctor's. Have to call back again tomorrow. How are you feeling x

Im feeling really well thanks! It still doesn't feel real, not quite sure when that part kicks in....maybe Im just in denial as Im scared, who knows?! Fingers crossed you get somewhere with your GP and good luck for scan. Keep us posted.xx

I self referred myself at the epu as I was told after 3 mc I would get early scans, I did get a scan at 6w but I only was allowed one scan. I have booked a private scan for tomorrow I’m 10w then just the normal 12w all going to plan. U could try your epu if not private.

It was good all going well so far I hadn’t had a private scan before it’s so much nicer a lot more time spent looking at baby not just quick in and out also got about 8 photos and sent a link through and got a little video aswel so canny would definitely recommend only cost £45

Thanks so good Hun. I do think the NHS appointments are rushed! I was only pregnant two years ago and it's all ready all changed lol. Glad all is going well for you. XXX rest up and enjoy your moment x

A Massive congratulations hun. Really pleased. It seems to be different all over the country regards scans and maternity care in general, just speak with drs see what they say or book a private scan 😘💗

Thank you very much xx

Congratulations. Wonderful news. With natural pregnancies you only get a dating scan unless you are experiencing any cramping and bleeding. Failing that there are private scans which can offer you reassurance. At my drs I was not allowed to book an appointment with the midwife until I was 8 weeks. All the best with your pregnancy Xx

Thanks Jess! How are you doing? Did you get any extra progesterone for your pregnancy? I feel a bit lost without medication. I don't trust my body lol x

in reply toNDE1987

I’m nearly 20 weeks pregnant with another little girl 😍 this time it happened much quicker for us! In answer to your question I had progesterone with both pregnancies until 12 weeks . My fertility doctor agreed I could have progesterone pessaries as well as prednisone ( slightly raised nk cells) he reviews it case by case most ladies only get it with IVF but I think coz of endo & bleeding I have experienced in every pregnancy he agreed it could help.it could be worth asking your old clinic for. GPS don’t have that power to prescribe that medication without a gynaes approval . It can’t do any harm but might put your mind at ease during the scary early weeks of pregnancy Xx

We didn’t have a private one but I have my 12 week one on 23rd Nov. I haven’t really had any symptoms either which makes me anxious, very different to my ivf pregnancies. Will keep everything crossed for you xx
