Hi ladies i had a failed IUI this month and did a lot of research yesterday. i came across a lot of articles to say once sperm has been thawed it only last about 24hrs in the uterus compared to fresh sperm which can last 3 days. is this true? also the clinic told me i had a good sample with 7million and 90% motility, however the studies say on average you should want at least 20million TMC. is this true? i feel like i have been lied to and wasted another month and month. Arghhhhhh

Average TMC for sperm in IUI and how long does frozen sperm last for in the uterus
I did 3 IUI with frozen sperm sample of my husband, really good motility. Nvr comceived. Then I did one super ovulation IUI with gonalf with low stimulation, and fresh sample it worked . I nvr carried the baby to term , I din know if any other parameters helped that gave me a positive. But deep inside I hv a thought may be a fresh sample is far better than frozen
I had a couple of bfn in one of my iui cycles but then after not getting my period I tested week later and got my bfp. I was told sperm can stay alive for 5days and it was frozen sperm we used. Not sure of science or odds behind any of that but certainly seemed to work for me x
90% mobility is very high, so even if less sperm, you would get as many mobile sperms as the average.
thank you
