Sensitive..7.5 week scan. Anyone had 2 babies in one sac?

Hi all

I just had my 7.5 week scan today. Doc said baby is looking good with a good heartbeat. Had a large subchorionic hematoma on last week's scan (and bleeding) which is gone now. She said there is some white spot in the same sac which looks like another baby which has stopped growing long back (we only transferred one). I was told if the 2nd baby had grown, it would have been dangerous as both are in the same sac. Have another scan next week to see how this goes. Anyone else had similar experience?

Not me personally but someone I know did. A twin sharing a sac and the same placenta is the most high risk/dangerous kinds of twins to have. Unfortunately their second twin didn’t make it either

I have a "fertility friend" who had that twice, twins in the same sac. Both times they didn't make it But they were both growing. It's sad to say, but that one didn't make it is actually good news.

Thank you so much. Yes, my doctor said if both were growing, they would have terminated this pregnancy. I am just hoping at least now this goes well since there is only one baby growing now. Thank you for your reply
