BFP - but also bleeding 8dp5dt

So If I was t already losing my mind.... we decided to test early today. Got a BFP but also noticed I’m bleeding. Not heavy. Just so scared that I’m gonna be pregnant today and not tomorrow. Anyone experienced this? I know implantation spotting can be common but thought that was abit earlier.

Hi Sarah, I’m in the exact same boat and I’m now 5 weeks pregnant. I’ve kept up with my first response and although most of my spotting is brown and very light my 2 line on the test has continued to get darker and darker each day. I’d call your clinic and speak to them, my clinic said it’s quite common for light spotting after IVF due to the trauma and the pesseries can irritate you and cause bleeding. It’s extremely stressful but don’t count yourself out yet. See what you’d Dr suggests. Xx huge congrats on your BFP also x

How long did it last for you? I’m gonna keep my eye on it today hopefully it won’t become a flow.

You have definitely made me feel better. Praying it’s just some spotting and I’ll be able to give someone else some encouraging words in the future!

I’m still spotting, it’s just very light and brown. The Dr said it happens a lot from the uterus stretching and the embryo ‘bedding in’ also like I said before the pesseries are quite harsh and can irritate too. Mine started on 8dp5dt and it terrified me beyond belief. But honestly as the days go on and you see the line get darker it reassures you. I did also rest for a couple of days when I first started spotting. No heavy lifting, no exercise or even taking the dog for a walk just as a precaution, this advised by my clinic.

I’m doing the exact same. I just texted my boss to say I’m not working (even tho it’s just a work from home) but I just want to chill out and keep hopeful! Xx

Not had any more bleeding since first thing which has made me feel so much better xx
