The title says it all. We went to A&E with OHSS symptoms last night, after a stressful wait to be seen (back home at 3:00am!) they told us we have a Hcg level of 181. Is it good? I know the important part is how numbers grow and then the scan.
This is our first ever Ivf and we are NHS funded, I don’t think they will do betas right? The doctor thought we knew I was pregnant and he talked about it so naturally saying “Your hormones are at the levels they should be, etc”, my husband asked “What, is she pregnant?” and turns out I am. It’s very early days and won’t really believe it until I do a pee test myself (thanks Amazon for the delay!) but anyway today is good! 🥰

I responded on the other post, but wanted to say my clinic told me it was quite common to get OHSS with a positive test as your hormones are exasperating the symptoms. It can take a few weeks for it to settle down. I’m 8 weeks, and still swollen (though now I can’t tell if it’s pregnancy bloat or OHSS bloat). It was also one of my telling signs, as I was so bloated and full of air (still am, it drives me mad and keeps me awake as I can’t get comfortable).
What’s important is how your HCG progresses every 48-72 hours, I’m not sure if the NHS repeat them tbh, I think it depends where you are. But for now, try and enjoy the fact you are pregnant!! Lots of rest and lots of fluids.
Amazing HCG levels hun! Nope don’t think the NHS will do betas, but you can do them privately just for peace of mind 😃but to be honest your levels are great I wouldn’t worry! So happy for you! Xxx
