My 3rd round journey so far...

So straight off the back of the second round we went for our third and final attempt. My AMH levels are very low so better now than waiting. I injected for 7 days on 4 ampoules of meriofert etc. On day 7 attended my scan where afterwards the consultant and nurse asked to see me to break it to me that there was only 1 viable follicle. The decision was then made to go ahead with egg collection to see if they could get an egg from it. Egg collection was this Wednesday gone and the consultant managed to get the egg! So relieved as they'd warned me I could have ovulated before etc. In fact while waiting in the recovery room before I went in for my OR I heard a nurse breaking the news to someone that they only got the 1 egg as she had ovulated before and it was heartbreaking. I kept thinking, yep that's going to be me too. So the fact that they got the 1 egg was great! Then the wait to see if it had fertilised.... That call came Yesterday and it had. They didn't tell me over the phone the grade but when I got to have it put back yesterday they said it had divided into a 3 cell but with fragmentation. They graded it a 2.1. Not as good as I've had in the past but who knows what will happen. There is still a chance that it could work and I'm taking that chance. So now the long wait begins.
