Beta hcg level 42 good at 10dp5dt?

So I just spoke to my clinic and been told I had a hcg of 42 yesterday which is 10dp5dt... she confirmed am definitely pregnant but said I can’t guarantee you if it would stick or “fizz” out... 😔

Can anyone tell me is that a good reading for 2 weeks pregnant?

It is on the lower side mine was 270 at 10dp5dt, but what matters most is that number doubling every 48 hours, which would indicate a viable pregnancy...are they sending you for more bloods in 2 days time? Xxx

Nope she said in a week will do another test... that’s worrying 😔 my tests were coming out fainter since Wednesday afternoon so maybe that’s why...

I would be pushing for another test in 48 hours..or go private and get one done yourself. If your clinic thought your numbers were low they should be doing another hcg test in 48 hours so you can see what's going on..rather than waiting a whole week I would go crazy xx

You really need to have another test in 48 hrs to check if things are rising. The starting number is really just a baseline and in order to see if its going up or down you really need a repeat. Good luck.xx

I’m going to be honest and say that it is a low number. My clinic likes to see 100+ at 9dp5dt and there have been a few studies that have shown this is the optimal number for a successful pregnancy. That’s not to say this won’t end well for you as I’ve heard of a few people have very low hcg at this point and everything has been fine x

Mine was 97 on 12dp5dt, so roughly similar to yours. My clinic said it was low, so kept checking to see if it was doubling. Went up to 273 on 14th day and 840 on 16th. Since it doubled, clinic was quite happy with it. Now I'm only 5.5 weeks, so very early to say anything. So please ask your clinic to check beta every other day to see it doubles.
