6 week scan showing 4 weeks

Hi All, I’ve just had my 6 week scan at the IVF clinic which is early due to a history of recurrent miscarriage and a suspected ectopic. The scan showed the sac measuring about 4 weeks when it should be 6 weeks and no sign of fetal pole therefore looks like another miscarriage. They have offered to scan again in a week or so’s time to check there’s been no growth, but it sounds very unlikely there will be now so the recommendation is to stop all drugs and let it pass naturally. Has anyone had a positive outcome in this situation?
