Hi ladies, what are the things you recommend checking before having a transfer to reduce the risks of miscarriage?

I asked for my progesterone to be checked on transfer day (first time in 4 transfers that I asked)

If you suspect low estrogen I’d also ask that is checked

Also confirmation of lining thickness before they put the catheter thing in.

Hi, if you have not already, it is also good to check your thyroid levels (simple blood test). You can do this with you GP, via your clinic, or you can even buy online a “do it at home test” which (in the UK) is circa £80, and gives you the full thyroid profile. The test takes about a week to hear back from, and should it not be optimal for implantation and for pregnancy, you can adjust it with meds. The home test is by far the cheapest in terms of costs (as normally they do not test all 3 aspects of thyroid: TSH, T3 and T4 at NHS ...or even at the private clinics, they tend to test only the TSH. Secondly, the at home test is about the same cost as for doing just one or two at the clinic.)
