Only 5 eggs on day 8 of stimulation is this ok

Im new here , I’m on day 8 of stimulations and only 5/6 eggs can be seen on scan is this good and will any more grow before egg retrieval ?

Hello lovely, it’s the follicles you can see on the scan and we all hope that each follicle contains an egg, though not always. Remember it only takes one good quality egg to make a baby. Keep doing what you are doing & fingers crossed those follicles continue to grow! It’s amazing the difference you’ll see in a few days. Good luck Xx

Thank you 🙏🏻 scan tomorrow to find out more I’m 42 next week and this is my 2 nd natural cycle of icis had a frozen transfer January this year with a positive pregnancy test but 6 week scan no sac was found Been a hard year so hoping there a rainbow at the end for me this year

Hi Selene,

Depends whom you ask

for me 6 is a very good number. At my first cycle started with 4 one follicle did stop growing... and they retrieved 3 ...and in the end it was only 1 mature which was fertilized and got a nice embryo.

Second cycle started with 7 follicle... 3 retrieved.. 1 embryo again.

I am now within 2WW with this 2 beauties:)))

Best of luck and hoping for positive result for you xx the 2ww is a hard one x I prob go in Monday or Wednesday for egg retrieval then that journey will begin for me xx just be very positive and believe you are already xx
