AF after cycle - should it be this painful?

I recently went through my first cycle, which failed. we didn’t manage to get to transfer as we had no eggs fertilise. So Ive come on my period yesterday, the first one after my cycle and I am honestly in so much pain with a very heavy flow. This is really not like me... my periods are usually very controlled, hardly any pain... is this normal after the cycle? So sorry for the TMI! I am struggling to get myself out of bed as I’m in that much pain.

Hi sorry to read about your failed cycle

I often have a horrid AF after a cycle - it’s all the drugs that have built everything up so lots to clear out

Yes, this is very normal. I had the same on our second cycle, no embryos to transfer and went on to have a horrendous cycle. In fact the next few were. Hang on in there, they will get better! Xx

So sorry to hear this, really heartbreaking your first cycle didn't go as planned. Yep I always tend to have a really heavy period after a failed cycle, i’m sure it’s to do with the excess hormones building up your lining so much and giving you horrid pmt. Hope your being kind to yourself and resting up

Hi Amy sorry to hear that u gone through so much and your body did suffer and yes after taking all those hormones etc now your body is clearing up those chemicals so it might be painful and hope you take care and May God Almighty bless you Ameen
