Day 3 Transfer 6 Cells, Growing slowly

Hi All. I’m on my third cycle of ICSI. Cycle one I had an embryo to blastocyst transferred Day 5 BFN, Second round I didn’t make transfer, today I had a day 3 transfer. I have had two put back in one at 6 cells and one a 5 cells. The Doctor said one is growing slowly, I have 5 more being cultured in the lab. I just wondered if anyone had success with a Day 3 transfer when the embryo was just 6 cells and which was growing slowly? Thanks xx

Just wondering why they would choose these 2 when you have 5 more still culturing? Surely better to let all 7 try to get to blastocyst? Or were these the best of the 7?

In my experience my slow growing ones at day 3 didn’t make it to blastocyst but it depends on how they graded them? Were they 1,2, 3 or 4 (1 being best?)

I didn’t actually grade them. I believe these were the best of the 7. I think they wanted to enable me to make the transfer. On my last cycle I was due to to go for the Day 5 transfer and I was called on the day to say it didn’t make it, so I also think that was a consideration.
