So....not great news regarding our second embryo. Unfortunately the quality wasn’t good enough to freeze after 5 days 🙁. This is the first time we haven’t had anything to freeze so am believing there is a good reason for this. Reason being my one onboard is on its way to implantation 🤞🏼🍀
I was reassured by my embryologist that they used embryo glue 😀 Am hoping it makes a difference as my Clinic now use it with every transfer so here’s hoping it helps 🤞🏼
Only 3 days post transfer and it feels like forever already 🙈.
Sending hope & strength to all my fellow IVF warriors 💪😘

Best of luck Hope76! I have everything crossed for you and your little embryo!!Only a few days to go before we can test. I am also in the 2WW and I am struggling to keep positive today. Constantly going through ups and downs. We will get there! Sending hugs and love xxxx
Thank you it’s hard to concentrate on anything else! I notice you had PGS testing that must be reassuring. Is this the first time you have used PGS testing for this embryo ?
I am consoling myself with the fact both of my frozen transfers in the past failed anyway !
Thank you Lorraine 🙏🏻
I reckon the one you have had transferred stole all the goodness from the other one! Sorry its not made it to freeze but like you say you won't need a frostie anyway! Wishing you patience and lots of luck xx
Wishing you all the luck for your double line in a few days time. Not long to go. It sucks about your other one, but if this one has nestled in well then that's all that matters. Xx
very strong of you. We are always so desperate to know and sometimes it just leads to more pain. Your test day will come around soon enough. Just need to keep busy and distracted until then. X
Had my was scan yesterday. All is well. Only 1 embryo transferred. We still have a long way to go, but starting to relax a little bit now we have seen it.
Yup my resting heart rate starting increasing 2 days after my transfer, there was a little dip and then about 2 days before I got my BFP it kept on increasing, and ended up being over 10bpm higher for a good few weeks. It's slowed down a bit now (hence my post) but seems to have levelled out at about 75 (which is still quite a bit higher than normal). The only thing I would say is that it gives you something else to stress about, something else to check. I was so worried when mine started to drop again and without any other symptoms I was onto my clinic. They thought I was mad and told me not to worry. So check it with caution and try not to read too much into it.
The only symptom I had in my 2ww was slightly tender boobs and 'period' like cramps. Both of which I thought must be the pessaries.
Oh am so pleased to hear that, well done on getting past yet another hurdle. 👍 Having had one scan with good news (my miracle son Harry now aged 4) and one scan 2 years ago with a 50/50 chance (had heartbeat but sac was too small - led to miscarriage at 11 weeks). Well I know how bloody nerve wracking they are. Anyway relax and enjoy, I know it’s hard when you have miscarried but usually they are a one-off 🤞🏼🙏🏻
Glad to hear you got your BFP from a single transfer ‘a grade ‘ - exactly what I had. So here’s hoping, at 44 it was a long shot to try again with my own eggs but am glad we went for it again.
Interesting regarding heart rate just checked and mine was higher than normal day of transfer & then dipped since then.... slightly. Will keep an eye on it but will try not to get too obsessed 🤣
I have been having the odd twinge plus tender boobs. But trying not to overanalyse as know can be those horrid pessaries 🙈. Oh and I literally cannot stop eating 🥴
Thank you, will do. I hope you’re doing ok ? I just read your profile & you haven’t had it easy.
May I ask is a uterine MRI to detect if you have implantation issues? In the past I’ve had 3 failed implantations however as I’ve also had 2 x BFP’s then my clinic won’t recommend any testing or investigations. x
Yes I am looking at implantation issues; since my last miscarriage four years ago I haven’t had a single BFP with IVF... Wondering if I should do one more cycle or should leave it given my age...
I see that’s interesting. I had a miscarriage 2 years ago. Since then had 2 BFN’s so I requested investigations only to be told the issue is most likely quality. Although my embryos were grade 2 they weren’t the best apparently.
I totally hear you about age as am 44 too so we decided one last time with my own eggs. Well amazed to get a Top Grade. So we are really hopeful but obviously realistic 🤞🏼🍀🙏🏻
I took ubiquinol 200mg every day pretty much since January (had originally been prepping for cycle in April but covid hit). Am not saying was just that though as took ubiquinol one cycle where I didn’t manage a top grade, however I do feel I never took it long enough then & not as regular. I have never had my clinic’s support to take them so was always a bit dubious (until now) 😀
Can you believe I told my DR who claims it’s probably coincidence 🤔
I also put more time into positive thinking & did a lot of exercise, hope this helps. I would’ve liked more than 2 eggs as used to having 5-7 but am thinking 2 eggs at 44 is probably more realistic now ?
Feeling pretty much normal, the odd twinges here and there, Ive been a little bit tired but think thats more due to not sleeping properly because of how hot it is! Cant wait for it to cool down now.
