How to make the right choice?

This question is more rhetorical but if somebody has the answer, I would be glad to hear your opinion.

I know that choosing the right clinic and the right doctor is a very serious matter and some of us have already faced or will face it sooner or later, so my question is: "How to choose?" There are plenty of places for such kind of treatment and it is a challenge for me. We have already chosen but how to know if our choice was right?

How did you choose?

Personally it was after a few recommendations, chatting with the coordinator of the clinic, response times to emails and questions, tone of communication, logistics of getting to clinic, success rates and just an overall gut feeling really after all of the above.xx

I understand that all of this is important. Maybe the location is not the best or the clinic is not so big but the attitude of the staff and doctors towards us is just unbelievable. Comparing with this, such things as logistics or success rate are just subsided.

In my case, is a donor, I choose to go abroad because of the legal issues about the donor, we start searching in Spain... in my case was the way this clinic treated us, the way they explain, the care we felt, and all the way they was very good on explaining and we just go with it

We had one failed but we have 5 more to go

I don’t know if this help but is the way we did it

Lots of hugs and easy journey

Xxx

1. best embryologists, 2. Gut feeling 3. Prices, 4. Success rate 5. open events and one to one free consultation (In exact order)

Hope we made the right choice 😁

Hi, depends on your situation eg, donor or your eggs/sperm. We used own eggs and sperm. I prioritised convenience as I was working fulltime. However, I do think that the way the clinic treats you as a patient is really important. Success rates for me were not that essential as in the UK are quite similar and by the end of the day, it depends a lot in your medical history and luck. We're all different on what we choose. I hope you're confident with your choice. You'll never actually know until you try but keep in mind, that you can always change if you didn't feel comfortable you're choice. All the best!

Yeah, agree with you. We will never know until we try) Actually, for now, I am even more than happy with my choice so I hope it will stay the same and in future) We've got all our tests done and we have chances. My DH has got CF and I had to do the same tests done. Mine turned out to be negative, thank God! We've been told that they can use my eggs and my husband's sperm for fertilization. Now we are to decide when to start.

Gut feeling

I went to a few open evenings and the clinic I chose felt less glitzy and corporate, the staff friendlier and I felt less like a walking blank cheque book

Location wise it’s about 20 mins from home and next to a train station if I wanted to get to work that way. It also has clinics in London where I work a lot in case I wanted scans etc there. They also start scans at 730am so I could go BEFOEE work

I’ve stuck with my clinic through 5 rounds and I’m glad I did

I am very glad that there are many of us who are happy with their choices. Location is important as well but we decided not to pay much attention to this fact but more to the staff and doctors. We were choosing more a doctor than a clinic or area. Thus we proceeded with one of the Ukrainian clinics, far from home, lol
