My wife bled heavily with clots and cramp for one day, three days after testing positive. Now from initial HCG of 3000+ it has dropped to 420 only. Doctor says he sees empty sacks but we should keep hope alive because it has happened before to someone else who eventually gave birth. You think there is any hope? Does anyone know of a similar experience?

I’m sorry that no one has replied to you but it seems extremely unlikely that this pregnancy would still be viable. HCG results in the early stages of pregnancy should double every 48 hours and that’s quite a huge decrease in numbers. I’m sorry. If your Doctor says you should keep hope then I’m not sure what to advise really.. Wishing you all the best. Sorry I’m not able to offer you any reassurance at such a worrying time xx
After getting a positive, during the process of growth, if uterus detects any abnormalities in fetus then it stops further process and hence it expels everything in the form of period. The pregnency is called successful until a women crosses 12 weeks or more. Trust me uterus is a magical part of women's body which gives space to a perfect baby. It's better to suffer at 4weeks rather then suffering day by day if you give birth to a abnormal baby. Don't worry try and try until u succeed....
I agree with tugsgirl sounds like a chemical pregnancy so very sorry for you both such a heartbreaking loss. I had a chemical pregnancy a year before I conceived my daughter. Just because this pregnancy may not have worked out doesn’t mean another one wouldn’t. I wish you both the best hope you do defy the odds xxx
