BFN back to the drawing board

Morning ladies

Hope you’re all ok. Crazy uncertain times and the government announcement including pregnant women in the at-risk category..... although they did say they didn’t have any specific evidence for risks associated with pregnancy, it’s just the unknown.

Anyway unfortunately I’m out of that category for now 😔

Yesterday was my OTD and it was a BFN. I had tested 12dp3dt and 13dp3dt and both were BFN so yesterday really just felt like going through the motions.

I felt so heartbroken, especially knowing that it was the donor sperm that failed. I did everything that I was supposed to do and it didn’t work.

But that’s the thing with fertility challenges- you can do everything you need to and at the end of the day it’s still in the hands of the gods.

I’m supposed to be having a review appointment next week and top of the list is finding a new donor. I waited 1.5 years for this one. I can’t afford to wait that long again as I’ll be 41 soon.

But now that I’m in the system I hope that’s a quicker process now! So by the time they start doing cycles again hopefully the sperm will be sorted. 🤞🏻

Anyway ladies good luck to all of you in the different stages of your journeys. Love to all of you 💕

No words of wisdom or experience with donors but just wanted to send you both hope and positivity. Be kind to yourself and hopefully now you are in “the system” as you say, it may make things smoother for you xx

So sorry to hear that. It's just so many ups and downs. I really hope you find another donor soon. Look after yourself today. Sending big hugs xx

Sorry to hear about your bfn, lovely. That's awful awful news. It is unfair that you can do everything right and it still not be a pregnancy. This is the where I find the science of IVF super annoying - it's not exactly reassuring: the whole bung it in there and see what it does strategy.

Give yourself time to deal with this loss. But, yes, I can hear you about being glad you're in the system and getting a donor sorted is already going on in the background. Best wishes for your journey. xxx
