Hi is anyone attending glasgow royal for IVF? Have you heard anything about appointments being cancelled?

Hi Joy,

Yes - I've been told all embryo transfers have been cancelled/stopped until further notice, therefore everyone waiting will go behind all women currently in treatment to be re-started. Depending how long it is my thoughts are everyone pre-treatment will have to be re-screened for bmi, bloods etc as the current results may have lapsed. Again, all depedent on the length of our delay. From my understanding some appointments are still going ahead but no-one will progress past screening. I'd recommend calling the clinic if you can and check about your own appointments xx

I just called them. Cancelled until further notice! I understand it but it’s still hard to know I have to wait even longer xx

Just had my appointment cancelled for tomorrow. All appointments are cancelled and no embryo transfers will take place until further notice. We’ve to check website for info.

I cracked and called them.

I was just going to start ivf, so they have cancelled it for the foreseeable!! Too be fair that’s better than starting and having too stop. I hope that anyone who is already started can continue to finish their treatment.

The world is just crazy at the moment xx

I will wait and hear from them then, just going to try rearrange my hotel now so I dont loose money. I had a cervical dilation 31 Jan and it’s hoped to last 3months if not more. Let’s hope its been a good one and I don’t have to go through that again before I can start me FET once Armageddon is over. I’m much calmer now, not so hysterical 🤪

Hi Joy

My appt for baseline scan was tomorrow it’s been cancelled my hubby is meant to have surgical sperm retrieval next week I’m hoping it goes ahead as its at Gartnavel. It’s been such a long weight already! And the thing is it’s for foreseeable so god knows how long we will need to wait!! Xx

I really hope things keep happening for you. It’s so hard when we have waited so long and finally got to the point we’re we could take action. I quit my job to come home for the ivf! I work at sea so it wasn’t feasible to continue working and do the ivf.

Although I’m happy to be home with everything going on. I’d hate to be trapped out at sea if my loved ones do get sick. I hope this is all over soon 🤞🤞🤞 xx
