Can I ask what level of patches you took in the run up? I was on 100 and thought that was the max and just been told by a nurse that our new consultant does 200. I’m meeting her in next couple of weeks so will of course ask her but wondering if this can make a difference to my lining!!
Thanks wonderful ladies

I was on 100, which as you know wasn’t enough to thicken my lining either. I asked a nurse if I could use 2 at a time (so 200) and was told it was to much Estrogen. I have an appointment with our consultant next week and will be asking again. I’m convinced my body doesn’t absorb ‘tablet medication’ well and so I’d prefer a higher dose of patches if I’m allowed xx
I thought that was the tops too!! At my clinic they would def give me 200 if I was doing an ERA so I don't know why they can't do it for a FET. I will also be asking the question! xx
Yes I don’t know why you couldn’t have it for an FET too!! I’ll definitely be raising it at my appointment too, what they’ve given us in the past clearly isn’t enough 🤦🏻♀️ xx
I was on 100, but I think it was twice a day at times (and only once a day for some of it). I've only had one frozen cycle, though, so I didn't question it at the time.
Instead of just giving a random dose of a drug, they should really test our levels (estrogen, progesterone etc. levels (and keep testing them)) so that they can be sure we have the levels we need and are absorbing the amount needed! Sigh.
Well actually mine do (or did). My consultant tests my blood every 5 mins (in reality every other day) for exactly that. Apparently my new consultant (or any other consultant at my clinic), does not. To say I'm baffled would be an understatement. Its so confusing when everyone does things so differently!! xx
Oh well that's great news that they do (or can do) blood tests all the time! Well, sort of... nobody likes blood tests. Lol. 😊 Really hate the inconsistencies between consultants and clinics, but I guess it's not an exact science, sadly, and nobody has done enough research in to it! It is a lot of responsibility that masses of this research falls on us. Push for the blood tests and query the 200/100 situation if that's what you want! You have every right! x
I had 100 strength patches but was on 10mg of tablets daily aswell, it's worth asking if theyll let you do both. That was the only way I could get my lining up enough for a transfer. Good luck!x
Hey, I was on 100x2 changing every 72 hours. However this was after having tried tablet form and lining suddenly going backwards from 8mm to 4mm. I haven’t seen a massive increase in lining (still around 8mm) on the patches but the doctor did say the lining has a much sharper form. I’ve no idea if it’s down to the patches but wanted to share just in case). Good luck with your FET and next lining xx
I always get the impression that all this is a bit trial and error for each person so hopefully a new consultant and new protocol will do what’s needed, especially if they are putting you on higher patches. I know everyone is so different though. My sister had two BFP’s when her lining was 5mm both times so lining doesn’t always need to be high. But of course I totally understand why you would hope to see an improvement etc. Thinking of you xx
I started on 100 last cycle but increased to 200 as lining was only 5.9 after two weeks. This time I'll be starting with 200mcg (although I haven't been able to find 100 dose patches so I'll have two 80mcg and one 40mcg and change every three days)
Thanks for that. 100 dose patches are a nightmare. I’ve got a batch of 75 and 25 from the last cycle. If I have to have a dose of 200 I’m going to look like a patchwork quilt!! Xx
