I’m currently 5w+5d and trying really hard not to freak out.
I hadn’t had any symptoms until the last week when I’ve felt nauseous, light headed and have had sore boobs. They all disappeared yesterday evening. I know symptoms can come and go but I just felt really uncomfortable about it. I woke up this morning and was bleeding. Brown and not a lot but I have a real sinking feeling 😭😭😭
My hospital don’t seem to concerned and just said if it gets any worse to go to A&E to get transferred to the EPU. I’ve never been vaguely religious but am praying hard today xx

Oh lovely, it’s understandable you’re so worried but yes symptoms do come and go - some ladies don’t have any at all. Brown is usually old blood too so hopefully that’s all it is.
When is your scan?
Rest as much as you can. I have everything crossed for you. Lots of love xx
Thank you xx not got a date yet - my clinic scan at 7-8 weeks so won’t be for a little while, they said it will be done through EPU if needed before then xx
I’m sorry you’ve seen bleeding it’s so frightening.
I’ve had 3 pregnancies ( 2 full term pregnancies & 1 chemical pregnancy) & had bleeding in every one- I bled heavily with my first & told it was a”threatened miscarriage “ but had my son whose 21(!) & had bleeding mostly brown from 6-14 weeks but I did have fresh blood with clots at 10 weeks with my daughter whose 5 months. The experience of my chemical pregnancy was completely different to my full term pregnancies which occurred between having my son & daughter ( it started with severe abdominal pain, bright red & progressed rapidly to heavy full flow bleeding with huge blood clots)
I was told brown blood was old blood & midwife wasn’t concerned by it ( I freaked out big time!)
I won’t tell you not to worry because I know it’s impossible ( I couldn’t relax until my daughter arrived safely) but there are some ladies who bled in early pregnancy & do go on to have a healthy baby.
For peace of mind the early pregnancy assessment unit can offer HCG blood tests to monitor your level/ scans can be done from 6 weeks onwards.
Oh no! I really hope all has settled down. I hope you are resting up and taking it easy. Nothing you have said sounds too bad - I had cramping a red blood so hopefully you are ok.xxx
Oh hun, I’m feeling for you, this journey is such a rollercoaster! I’m sure brown blood is old blood so fine but I can imagine how stressed you must feel. Did clinic offer to check hcg levels for you?xx
Thank you love, it’s crazy how stressful this is! They didn’t when I rang but I think they’d be happy to if I asked (which I might depending on how today goes). Do you get your 2nd test today? I’ll be thinking of you and willing that little one on! Xx
Oh no, sorry you are having such a stressful time. I totally understand how impossible it is not to freak out at these times though. I’ve got everything crossed that all is ok and things will settle down v.soon. I know nothing can stop the worry, but there are so many women on here who have experienced bleeding (especially brown) and things still been ok so try to focus on that if you can. Take care lovely xxx
Thank you lovely xx I know, the rational part of me knows I’ve read my own post hundreds of times on here and it’s turned out to be fine but my find has been in overdrive! xx
I’m hanging on in there! Felt loads better yesterday but had more bleeding this morning. Still not a lot so I’m holding out for my scan now and keeping everything crossed. Hope you’re well, I’d be losing my mind without you lovely bunch of people! Xxx
Pleased you’re feeling better, I really hope all is ok. Stay as positive as can be. We are all rooting for you. I’m good thank you, starting progynova tomorrow for my FET ☺️xxx
