Oh no I'm so sorry you've had this shameful experience. They really should have looked after you better.
I don't remember having to lay on my stomach did that procedure. I lay on my back just like for a normal scan and he inserted catheter and we watched fluid go through on the ultrasound...
Bless you, I remember having this test two years ago, right at the start of our fertility treatment. Fortunately the medical staff were really lovely, but I wasn’t at all prepared for how painful it was going to be. The leaflet said ‘you may want to take an aspirin before’ and explained there might be ‘mild discomfort’ but it was bloody excruciating! Easily the worst thing I’ve had to do and I’ve been through 3 cycles of IUI and IVF! Best to try and forget all about it and move on x
