People experiences with a hysterosalpingogram?

Mine was extremely painful....

I didn’t feel like they tried to keep my dignity at all

They didn’t give me anything to clean myself up with either

There were 5 people in the room all together

I didn’t feel embarrassed but when I had to turn around to lay on stomach trying very hard to cover up my bum etc while I tuned...

I’m so glad it’s over.....

I’ve had internal and scans and smear test

But nothing like this...

I’m only 25😩

Oh no I'm so sorry you've had this shameful experience. They really should have looked after you better.

I don't remember having to lay on my stomach did that procedure. I lay on my back just like for a normal scan and he inserted catheter and we watched fluid go through on the ultrasound...

I hope your next procedure gets better next time

Yeah I had to lay on my stomach to take picture from behind

And turn again to take picture of my stomach

Yeah it was quite a lot really took quite long to x

Bless you, I remember having this test two years ago, right at the start of our fertility treatment. Fortunately the medical staff were really lovely, but I wasn’t at all prepared for how painful it was going to be. The leaflet said ‘you may want to take an aspirin before’ and explained there might be ‘mild discomfort’ but it was bloody excruciating! Easily the worst thing I’ve had to do and I’ve been through 3 cycles of IUI and IVF! Best to try and forget all about it and move on x
