I had an egg retrieval at the end of July which resulted in two blastocysts. They were frozen as I had moderate OHSS. My period started five days after the egg retrieval. I’ve just had my follow up appointment and have been told that I could choose to start the medication for my frozen transfer when my next period starts (due imminently) or wait for the next period.
I feel like I have recovered completely from the egg retrieval and OHSS and the doctor is happy for me to start the medication with my next cycle, although I appreciate advice is usually to wait two cycles.
Does anyone have experience/knowledge/advice? My husband and I are very torn! Thank you in advance 😊

If you feel well enough then go for it, keep up the momentum. I waited from EC in early April until starting progynova 12th August. But this was down to scheduling at the clinic, I would have preffered to start sooner. I had very mild OHSS and felt better within a week. Currently 6dp3dt.
I had EC mid Sept last year, freeze all due to mild OHSS, and started FET medication after the second period, in late Oct, so a similar timeframe to you. I'd recovered well from the OHSS by that time and Dr was happy to do the FET. If you feel well and clinic is in agreement, go for it. Happily, my transfer was successful. Best of luck whichever way you decide xxx
Thanks for replying. I’ve ended up with a stinking cold and I’m feeling really awful with it so I probably won’t start the treatment if I’m still feeling like this. Pleased you had a successful transfer 😊
