Abnormal periods!!! HELP 😣

Hi all,

Further to my post yesterday, I am really concerned about my period this month. It’s come 1 week early and only red blood on one occasion. I’ve now had brown blood for the past 5 days off and on??

What is happening to my body?

Do you think it’s time for me to stop IVF treatment all together? Xxx

Hi. Not sure if necessarily related to ivf. I had shorther periods and brown discharge afterwards (sometimes almost a week) for a few years. The doctors did not raise any concerns (I also have some small fibroids), but one of them implied that at least the shorther periods could be due potentially to pre-menopause. Did not happen yet Initially I though that ivf could speed up the process and I will reach menopause / diminish my ovarian reserve earlier, but from what I read, this is not the case. I managed to conceive through ivf, with 1 ovary and low amh.

Would be good to ask also you doctor / consultant.

Thank you very much for your comment. At least I know I’m not alone. That is scary if it is pre-menopause!!
