I’ve just had my first stimulation scan and have 6 follicles over 10mm and lots of little ones behind.
I was just wondering what other people’s expectations were as I thought 6 was pretty low but I’m wondering if that’s because my clinic are really just counting above the 10mm and in statistics they count the smaller ones too....
Due in fir my next scan on weds. Hoping some more have caught up!

I just wanted to reply to say, six sounds good to me! I found it hard not to compare numbers when I heard people talk about 10-15 follicles or eggs collected but you just never know which one(s) will contain a healthy egg that could go on to be your baby. It’s a horrible cliche but it really does only take one.
At my first progress scan I had 3 follicles with about 5 tiny ones that they didn’t even mention to me at that point! At the second scan a few days later, a few of those had caught up and so I kept stimming for a few more days, lost two of the bigger ones (they got too big) and ended up having six eggs collected.
I’m now currently 9 weeks pregnant with twins which I never would have dreamt possible from that first scan.
Hang in there and try not to worry about numbers, one of those little follicles may well be holding your future baby. Sending you lots and lots of luck xx
Thank you, Franco! I know you’re right. Think because I didn’t have any make it to day 5 last time and was then unsuccessful with a day 3 transfer, I’m worried and thinking more eggs will give me a better chance to get to day 5.
